Hey Hey we’re the monkees! Sorry about that. I heard a Monkee’s song on the way over and it kind of got me going. So now that the family is trying this blogging thing again, I thought that I would also. Been a while and it’s a good thing. I haven’t been up to too much actually. I have been working freelance still. I get work where I can find it while trying not to corrupt my orginality in what I do. It’s hard in these days but I am out there. I am still single. I date every once in a while but I don’t know whether I am too picky or I am just not ready. I don’t think I am ready. Maybe I am a perpetuial bachelor. I would love to settle down and have kids one day but we’ll see. Anyways, I will keep this up. Take care everybody!

The past 2 months have been filled with holidays, bad weather, and work. That is probably most of the reason why I haven’t blogged in 2 months. Along with some laziness and some drama here and there. But I have a few things to say today. Today is a very important day in the United States. President Obama took office about an hour ago. It’s so awesome to witness history like that. When President Obama won the election, I was in Chicago to see his acceptance speech. I can’t explain the feeling of hope and pride in the air. It was something that I had never experienced in my life and maybe something I never will again. Today, I would have loved to be in Washington DC. I saw how packed it was though and I decided I had the best seat sitting next to my brothers and my girlfriend.

Yes! That is something that is different also! I officially have a girlfriend. My Emily. We have been good friends for aq very long time. Best friends. I’ve been in love with her for a good 6 months but I never said anything until my niece Sanna, convinced me to go for it last night. So she came over for my birthday celebration and I took her hand, told her how I felt. I was very nervous but the nerves disappeared when she told me she loves me too. I feel fantastic! This girl is incredible. She is an artist too. She’s sweet, funny, talented and we share much of the same values. I can see spending my life with this girl.

For now though, we’ll get to know each other as a couple

Sanna! Thank you for kicking me in the ass. Everybody had a hand in it but you were the one that really pushed me. I owe you a night of bar hopping. *L*

Annukka, we still need to discuss the Winnie the Pooh room! We’ll talk soon!

And Emily, I love you. You’re the best. I have to get you into blogging! I think you’d like it.

48 hours until turkey

Man am I looking forward to Turkey day! *L* The countdown is on!

Tomorrow I have to do something that I really wasn’t planning on doing. WORKING! Oh well! What can I do? I have to touch up the mural that I painted and make sure it is something that I want to stand behind. I’m like my sister, Annukka in that respect. I have to be absolutely satisfied with what I’m turning in because that piece of work represents me. And I always want to do my very best in anything that I create.

My brother, Justin, is moving in and I am thrilled! I love Justin and I love hanging with him! He’s also going to be enrolling in Med school again either this winter or in the summer. I’m so stoked about that. He should be a doctor. He’s got this golden heart like Joey. He’d be an amazing doctor. He’s a good person. Know who else is a good person? My sister, Annukka. She is a really good person. I know she has been real stressed out with work and being away from Zack and the boys. I know that Sanna, Vince, Rick and Zack tell her she is a good person but I don’t think she hears it from enough people. So Annukka……… you are a beautiful person! You are a good person and I am proud to have you as my sister. Take care of yoruself a little better. You’re doing a great job with everything and everyone but yourself. So don’t feel guilt, don’t feel bad. Just listen to yourself. Take care of yourself. I love you sister!

So it has been a while since I have blogged. I have been busy painting a mural and I finally got that done with Emily! Nothing has happened between us. She is really devastated over this other guy and I don’t want to be that rebound guy. So I’ll wait and maybe one day she’ll feel about me the way I feel about her. Until then, I’ll be here friend. She’s worth it. I’ll wait for her.

I have 3 jobs lined up in the next month so I’ll be really working my butt off after Thanksgiving. I’m hoping I can bring Emily aboard again too. Just to spend more time with her. I just want her to see the kind of guy I am. I won’t hurt her.

And to Annukka! My sister. You gave me the evil eye before so here I am. *L* Happy now? BTW. Zack told me about the “Winnie the Pooh” themed room! I would be honored to paint it! Lets talk about how you want it soon! Alright? Like this week sometime. I’ll study Winnie more. I love Eyore! That is my homeboy! *L*

Gotta go. I’ll try to keep this up a little more often.

It’s cold outside

Today is the first day that I can really tell winter is just about here. It’s like 40 degrees and when I first went out for my morning jog, I was freezing but after I ran a while, it was all good. Right now it’s raining like crazy outside. When it rains like this and it’s this cold, I know that it’s not too long until things start to freeze. This winter is gonna be a bitch!

I haven’t painted at all today. Just haven’t felt like it. I’m thinking possibly tonight I will. I have a meeting with this guy tomorrow who wants to commission me to do some mural painting around his deli. I’m thinking I’ll do it. The money will be good. God knows I need the money. I might ask my friend, Emily, to help me out. She is a real talented artist also. She’s sweet, pretty. She is one of my best friends. She just broke up with her boyfriend because he was whaling on her and I’ll be honest folks. I really like this girl. More than just a friend. I’d like to take it to the next level. Or make a move or something. I’ll see her tonight. She wanted to show me some work she did.

So this is blogging! Cool! I’ve been wanting to do this for a while, just never got around to it. So here I’ll comment on just about everything. Well, yeah. I will comment on everything.

I am an artist and being an artist is kind of a differen way of life. It’s not like a real 9 to 5 job. It’s a pretty unstructured life because you never know where your next piece will come from or what you’ll be inspired by. You have to keep an open mind about everything and see the potential in everything. You can’t count anything out. Your world more narrow when you do. I love my work. I love what I do and I have been somewhat successful in it. I have taken freelance jobs to pay the bills also and I enjoy that too. But it’s not like working on your own creation. OK, that’s all for now. Ciao!
